Culture Night 2023

Produced at Kilkenny’s Lighthouse Studios for Apple TV+, El Deafo is a BAFTA-winning 75-minute animated special based on the New York Times best-selling graphic novel memoir of the same name by author Cece Bell. El Deafo features a young Cece as she tries to navigate the world around her after an illness causes her to lose her hearing – all with the help of her superhero alter-ego.

This special screening of El Deafo will be introduced by Clíodhna Lyons, Assistant Director.

Please note that all children should be accompanied by an adult throughout the screening. All attendees must hold a valid ticket.
